Medical Doctors (2 positions) Ref No: MD 01022

An MBChB Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution.
Experience: At least 2 (two) years of relevant working experience, interest and experience in either gynecology or pediatrics is preferred. Must be registered and licensed with Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.

Responsible for playing a role in diagnosis, treatment and management of patients
 Evaluates patients and refers them for specialized health care.
 Actively participates in the delivery of quality health care to patients.
 Adheres to the professional Code of Conduct and Ethics.
 Takes part in Outreach and community health programmes.
 Compiles and submitting periodic reports.
 Pro-actively participates in continuing Professional Development Programmes.
 Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Degree in Pharmacy or its equivalent from a recognized Institution
Must be registered and licensed with the Pharmacy Council.

Experience: At least two (2) years of relevant working experience, one (1) of which should have been at head level

 Planning and budgeting for pharmacy activities
 Providing professional advice and support on all issues of pharmaceutical management
 Requisitioning for pharmaceutical needs
 Preparing quality compounded medicines and infusions
 Dispensing prescription and medications
 Providing advice to Clinicians and other Health Professionals on prescriptions
 Providing advice to patients and communities on proper use and storage of medicines
 Producing accountability for financial and other resources
 Ensuring proper storage of medicines in the facilities
 Monitoring and Maintaining adequate medicines supplies levels

Qualifications:
 Must have a Diploma in Pharmacy or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
 Must be registered and licensed with the Allied Health Professionals Council.

Duties and Responsibilities
 Planning for dispensing activities at the clinic
 Registering all medicines given to patients
 Advising patients and attendants on proper use and storage of medicines
 Advising Clinicians and other Health Professionals on prescriptions
 Assisting in the Preparation of quality compounded medicines and infusions
 Reporting expired and damaged medicines
 Participating in research activities.

Qualifications:
Must have Enrolled Nursing Certificate/diploma from a recognized Institution.
Must be registered and licensed with the Nurses and Midwives Council.

Experience:
Experience in managing clinics, patients, children, pregnant women and provide quality nursing care services and public health interventions to the patients. Minimum of 5 years of experience

Duties and Responsibilities :
 Receiving, registering and preparing patients for diagnosis
 Providing quality nursing care and treatment to patients
 Observing and keeping proper records about the patients
 Participating in Doctors/Clinical Officers Ward rounds
 Participating in bedside nursing procedures as a member of the caring team
 Preparing patients for meals and participating in serving them
 Maintaining a clean and healthy environment for the patients

Qualifications:
 Must be trained at a Registered Midwife level from a recognized Institution with certificate/diploma
 Must be registered and licensed with the Nurses and Midwives Council.

Experience: 5 years of experience in facilitating deliveries and provide nursing care to mothers and their babies.

Key tasks:
 Examining and monitoring pregnant women
 Assessing care requirements and writing care plans
 Undertaking antenatal care in hospitals, homes and GP practices
Providing information, emotional support and reassurance to women and their partners
 Taking patient samples, pulses, temperatures and blood pressures
 Caring for and assisting women in labour
 Monitoring the foetus during labour
 Advising about and supporting parents in the daily care of their newborn babies
 Helping parents to cope with miscarriage, termination, stillbirth and neonatal death
 Writing records and Identifying high-risk pregnancies

Qualifications:
Must have a diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health or its equivalent from a recognized institution. Must be registered and licenced with the Allied Health Professionals Council.

Experience:
2-5 years of experience in similar works

Duties and Responsibilities :
 Treats and ensures proper management of patients.
 Refers complicated cases to the Senior Clinical Officer.
 Liaises with other cadres in the unit in the delivery of quality health care to patients.
 Participates in the implementation of primary health care activities.
 Adheres to professional code3 of conduct and ethics.
 Participates in research activities.
 Participates in the collection of health data.
 Participates in teaching junior staff, patients, and the public.
 Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications:
Must have a Diploma/degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or its equivalent from a recognized Institution. Must be registered and licensed with the Allied Health Professionals Council and possession of GCLP certificate is of an added advantage.

Experience:
Minimum of two (2yrs) of experience conducting similar work

Duties and Responsibilities :
 Carry out disease diagnostic tests and assays in microbiology, bacteriology, serology, or molecular/PCR analyses and other areas as may be assigned to him/her by management.
 Take part in sample collection, processing and transportation to diagnostic facilities under supervision
 Actively participate in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for relevant diagnostic assays and others as may arise from time to time.
 Maintain quality management systems in the laboratory, develop standards, verify equipment functions and calibration.
 The incumbent will ensure the laboratory environment is maintained clean, safe and secure at all times as specified in the set standard operating procedures and participate in any risk assessment and risk mitigation/ management procedures that may arise.
 Ensure laboratory waste is managed according to approved SOPs and other international procedures and standards the laboratory is a subscribed to.
 Maintain the quality and safety of laboratory equipment, reagents and supplies.
 Work alongside the quality assurance officer to ensure the quality management in the laboratory conforms to international standards for accreditation, as well as make necessary personal efforts to undertake relevant trainings for accreditation.
 The jobholder will formulate Annual Operations Plans and monthly work plans and ensure timely and constant supply of laboratory supplies and reagents.
 Write their routine relevant reports.
 Perform any other duty as assigned by Management and or supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications:
Must have a degree /diploma in business administration with strong skills in accounting

Experience:
Two years of experience while conducting similar works, great skills in excel and other accounting tools/soft wares

Duties and Responsibilities :
Strong management, communication, integrity and interpersonal skills.
 Prepare budget forecasts
 Receive cash, issue receipts and track payments then monitor/track expenses
 File tax returns and make VAT, PAYE and NSSF payments
 Audit financial transactions and documents
 Scan pricing to ensure it’s accurate
 Prepare bank reconciliation statements
 Prepare monthly accounting reports

Qualifications:
Diploma/Degree in Management field like business administration, public administration, health services, environmental health, social science or any other relevant field from a recognized University or Institution. Possession of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 Develop and set marketing strategy and business objectives.
 Promote organisational brand and handle customer complaints
 Lead the HR function and manage staff affairs and requests
 Ensure compliance of all regulatory requirements by NDA, AHPC etc
 Ensure the development and implementation of adequate systems, policies and procedures to support the business operations.
 Ensure the development and implementation of an adequate framework to identify and mitigate risks.
